Building Financial Confidence Through Real Understanding

We started api-glow because too many people felt overwhelmed by personal finance. Not because they couldn't learn, but because most resources assumed knowledge they didn't have yet.

Since early 2023, we've been creating budget education that actually starts from the beginning. Real examples. Clear explanations. No assumptions about what you should already know.

How We Got Here

In 2022, I was helping a friend understand their monthly expenses. They had spreadsheets, bank statements, everything. But they couldn't see the patterns or know where to start making changes.

That conversation stuck with me. Smart people, good intentions, but the gap between financial advice and actual daily decisions felt enormous.

So we built api-glow differently. Instead of theory-heavy courses, we focus on the exact steps people need. Track your spending for two weeks. Categorize what you find. Then decide what matters most to you.

Our approach works because it respects where people actually are. Not where financial experts think they should be.

We've worked with over 300 individuals and families across Vietnam since launching. Each person brings different challenges, but the foundation stays the same: understanding your money gives you better choices.

Who Teaches at api-glow

Our instructors combine practical finance experience with genuine teaching ability. They remember what it felt like to not understand budgeting, and that shapes how they explain concepts.

Portrait of Linh Nguyen, Budget Foundations Instructor

Linh Nguyen

Budget Foundations Instructor

Linh spent eight years in banking before realizing most clients needed basic budget skills more than investment advice. She started teaching evening workshops in 2021 and joined us full-time in 2024. Her students appreciate her patience with questions and real-world examples from her own budget journey.

Minh Hoang

Curriculum Developer

Minh designs our course structure and materials. He came from educational publishing and understands how people learn best. Before api-glow, he worked with textbook companies and saw how complicated financial literacy materials had become. He strips concepts down to their essential parts.

TD

Thao Dang

Student Support Coordinator

Thao handles everything that helps students succeed beyond class time. She sends reminders, answers questions between sessions, and connects people with resources. She's been with us since we started and knows which stumbling blocks come up most often. Students email her more than anyone else on the team.

What Makes Our Teaching Different

Start Where You Are

We don't assume you know spreadsheets or accounting terms. Our September 2025 foundation course begins with tracking one week of spending by hand. Many students tell us this simple exercise reveals patterns they never noticed before.

Work With Your Reality

Budget templates assume regular paychecks and predictable expenses. But real life includes irregular income, family obligations, and unexpected costs. We teach flexible systems that work when plans change, because they always do.

Small Group Sessions

Maximum 12 students per instructor. This matters because budget questions get personal. People need space to ask about their specific situation without feeling judged. Smaller groups make that possible.

Ongoing Practice Support

Learning happens between classes, not just during them. We provide weekly check-ins and a private forum where students share what's working and what isn't. The community element helps people stay consistent when motivation drops.

Join Our Autumn 2025 Program
